This study examines the influence of racial segregation, intersectionality, and racial profiling <br /><br />on law enforcement issues as portrayed in Angie Thomas' ‘The Hate U Give.’ Critical Race Theory serves as the contextual framework for this analysis. The study aims to investigate various manifestations of racism within the novel, shedding light on racial prejudice and systemic violence in the United States by establishing connections with real-world events. Qualitative research, also known as library research, has been employed to gather primary and secondary data. Primary data for this research consists of words, sentences, dialogues, and phrases extracted from the novel. Secondary data sources are derived from online and printed materials related to the primary data source. As a result of this analysis, it becomes evident that numerous instances of institutional racism and systemic violence are exposed in the novel. These include the Black Panthers' Ten-Point Program, unjust or brutal shootings during license checks, physical abuse and biased behaviour in police patrols, unfair detective investigations, and racially <br /><br />biased grand jury verdicts.
